pyinterp.core.period.PeriodList.aggregate_duration

PeriodList.aggregate_duration(self) → object

Calculate the total duration covered by the periods in the list.

Returns:

The total duration as a numpy.timedelta64 scalar.

Note

The algorithm assumes that periods are sorted and disjoint, otherwise the result may be incorrect.
