Check if the given date is within tolerance of the period.

Parameters:

• date – A numpy.datetime64 scalar.

• tolerance – The tolerance margin (inclusive) as a numpy.timedelta64 scalar.

Returns:

True if the date is within tolerance, False otherwise.
