Data Access
This data set contains orbit data and geomagnetic parameters of Interball-Auroral.
Data records are arranged chronologically. Sampling interval is small enough for linear interpolation to represent the orbit to the precision with which it has been determined. For all magnetospheric missions, every record contain two kinds of data, besides time :
1. Satellite Position
Two coordinate systems are used :
- GEI system (Geocentric Equatorial Inertial)
- GSE system (Geocentric Solar Ecliptic), commonly used for magnetospheric studies. This system is not inertial. It is heliosynchronous and rotates about one degree per day.
You can use equally one or the other system.
2. Geomagnetic Characteristics
In addition to time-position data, the following geomagnetic parameters are available :
- Invariant Latitude
- MLT (Magnetic Local Time)
- Magnetospheric Regions where the satellite may be located (the determination of the regions uses a statistical model so that you can find one or more regions).Version:2.4.0
